ESSENTIALS FOR PILATES AT HOME

We start with yoga mats. Get yourself a good thick yoga mat because this will make a difference for your back.

To be honest that is all you need when first start. But when you want to be a little more equipped then these are your Pilates must-haves!

Ankle weights – to make the exercises even harder put them around your ankles or wrists. You can also use them when you go for walks.

Pilates ring – for Bryony Deery this is a must-have, she finds that the ring gives an extra burn that can be transformative. And if Bryony says so, it must be so, because the Pilates queen knows what she’s talking about.

Pilates ball – the Pilates ball makes the exercises harder, targets the underlying muscles (for an additional burn), and help you build balance and stability.

I am all about Pilates. It has become a stable in my routine. What do you think of Pilates? And what is your favourite exercise? Let me know your thoughts!

Lyn
